1. Purpose of the service

Narrative Turing Test is an experimental platform for research and learning about narrative plausibility, human authorship, and AI-generated storytelling.

2. Platform copyright

The platform's original software, interface, research design, prompts, explanatory materials, and editorial content are © 2026 Yuriy Dyachenko. All rights reserved.

3. Copyright in submitted stories

You retain any copyright that you hold in a story you submit. You confirm that you created the story or otherwise have the right to submit and use it.

By submitting a story, you grant Yuriy Dyachenko a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce within the service, display without author identification, analyse, compare, and create AI-generated variants of the story solely for the research and educational purposes described in these Terms.

This licence does not transfer ownership of your story.

4. Anonymous display and personal information

The service does not request your name and does not attach an author name to a submitted story. Stories are presented to evaluators without author identification.

The text of a story is stored as submitted. Do not include names, email addresses, telephone numbers, precise addresses, confidential information, or other details that could identify you or another person.

Direct identifiers will be removed before a story is quoted in a research publication, presentation, or teaching material. Complete anonymity cannot be guaranteed when the text itself contains identifying details.

5. Research and educational use

Submitted stories and evaluations may be analysed in aggregate for research, teaching, presentations, and the development of learning activities. De-identified excerpts may be quoted in research and educational outputs. Publication of a complete story outside the platform will require separate permission from its author.

6. AI processing

When an AI-generated variant is requested, the submitted story text is sent to the OpenAI API for processing. Do not submit sensitive, confidential, or identifying information.

7. Acceptable use

Do not submit unlawful, infringing, defamatory, confidential, or deliberately misleading content, or personal information about another person without permission.

8. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated as the service develops. The current version and its revision date will be published on this page.
